After exploring the various features of WordPress through practice assignments, I’ve become more comfortable with writing, managing, and editing content. I initially worked with the Twenty Twenty-Four theme and its block editor, but I’ve since transitioned to using Elementor, a tool I’m familiar with from previous projects.

In my experiments, I created both posts and pages, allowing me to dive into the use of categories and tags. Categories are great for grouping posts into broader topics, while tags help provide specific keywords that describe the content. Utilizing both improves the organization and discoverability of my posts.

The media library has been another key feature I’ve utilized. It’s incredibly useful for managing image files, offering options to edit, crop, and scale images directly within WordPress. This simplifies maintaining image consistency across posts without relying on external tools.

I also explored customizing menus to enhance site navigation. While the current menu editor is functional, I believe it would greatly benefit from a more intuitive drag-and-drop interface for easier rearrangement of items.

Additionally, I took the time to configure the site settings, ensuring my User Profile was complete by updating my nickname and setting the correct date and time. I also created a user account for cgreen57@lbcc.edu, assigning the role of Contributor to invite collaboration on the site.

Overall, working with these features has given me a clearer understanding of how to manage WordPress content efficiently, and I’m excited to continue building and improving my site using Elementor.
